Welcome to CrewPayScan (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website at crewpayscan.com, our waitlist sign-up process, and any future services we provide for sanctions compliance in maritime crew allotments (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By signing up for our waitlist or using our Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you are using the Services on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Description of Services
CrewPayScan is currently in a pre-launch phase. By joining our waitlist, you can gain early access to our platform, which will provide automated sanctions compliance checks for maritime crew allotments. Once launched, our Services will allow you to:
- Upload crew data for sanctions screening against OFAC, UK, and EU lists.
- Receive compliance reports and audit trails for regulatory purposes.
- Integrate our API into maritime HR, crewing, or payroll software (if applicable).
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice.
3. Waitlist Sign-Up
3.1 Eligibility
You may join our waitlist by providing your email address and optional details such as your name, company, crew size, and API interest. We do not guarantee access to the Services by joining the waitlist—access is subject to availability and our discretion.
3.2 Communications
By opting into communications during sign-up, you agree to receive updates, marketing emails, and notifications about CrewPayScan’s launch. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in our emails.
4. User Responsibilities
4.1 Accurate Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the waitlist sign-up process. You are responsible for updating your information if it changes.
4.2 Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, including violating sanctions laws.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data.
- Submit false or misleading information through our waitlist form.
- Use bots or automated tools to interact with our website in a way that violates these Terms.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services, including by introducing viruses or malicious code.
4.3 Compliance with Laws
You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Services complies with all applicable laws, including sanctions regulations (e.g., OFAC, EU, UK) and data protection laws (e.g., GDPR).
5. Fees and Payment (Future Services)
CrewPayScan is currently free to join during the waitlist phase. Once launched, our Services will be subject to fees as outlined in our pricing plans (e.g., starting at ~$79/month, as indicated on our website). We will provide clear pricing details before you subscribe to any paid plan. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of CrewPayScan or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written consent.
7. Data Privacy and Security
We handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Key points include:
- Your data is stored securely in Germany with Hetzner, ensuring GDPR compliance.
- All data except a crew record’s
Crew ID
is protected with AES-256 encryption at rest. - We use Cloudflare to protect our website from malicious bots.
You are responsible for ensuring that any data you upload to our Services (e.g., crew allotment details) complies with applicable laws and does not infringe on third-party rights.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CrewPayScan and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Services. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services will not exceed $100 USD.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Services, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, nor do we guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any compliance reports generated by the Services.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Services at our discretion, with or without notice, for any reason, including if you violate these Terms. 11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CrewPayScan and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Services will be resolved through binding arbitration in Germany, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
